Clay and Car Polish - Don't Do One Without the Other!

When washing your car, microscopic particles remain that stick to the body panels. Automotive clay removes those bonded contaminants from the surface of your car without removing clear coat. Polishing without first claying can push the pollutants deeper into the clear coat. This can make the problem worse instead of better.

So why not just use clay and skip the polish? Using clay mars the paint and leaves behind minuscule pits that detract from a smooth, glassy appearance. A high quality polish job will make any type of car look like it was done by a professional detailer. Polishing pads come in many sizes and colors. Medium or fine foam pads are best suited for this step of the polishing process.

Once you have restored that shine, be sure to protect it with a carnauba wax or paint sealant. Waxing and polishing is best achieved with a random orbital dual action polisher. Many people think the best way to wax your car is by hand. Whatever you choose, be sure to use clean, new microfiber towels to remove polish and wax residue.
