Meguiar's DA Microfiber Correction System

Meguiar's Dual Action Microfiber System was designed to remove light to moderate swirls and scratches. Best results are achieved on high-end dark-colored cars including blue, green, gray and black. It should be used only with a random orbital dual action polisher, not with a rotary buffer.

This innovative new system was revolutionary in the industry as microfiber pads had never before been used with a DA polisher. Traditionally, foam compounding, polishing and finishing pads had replaced wool in the best car paint correction kits.

All of the pads in the DA Microfiber System utilize the same microfiber. The foam pad behind the microfiber determines the aggressiveness of the pad. The thicker and softer the foam, the finer the finish.

When first introduced, four products comprised the two-step system. In step one, the DA Microfiber Cutting Disc combined with D300 DA Microfiber Correction Compound worked great to remove deeper scratches. Step two consisted of DA Microfiber Finishing Discs and D301 DA Microfiber Finishing Wax. The super micro abrasives enabled users to lay down a coating of glossy protection.

After a year or two on the market, professional detailers gave their feedback. In response, Meguiar's added two new products to the system.

Meguiar's found that in some cases, usually on black cars, the Correction Compound would leave a haze on the surface. As a remedy, the D302 DA Microfiber Polish was introduced, but did not include a polishing pad, as it should be used with Finishing Pads. The polishing power removed the haze and left the surface ready for the final step.

Another discovery was that sometimes the DA Microfiber Cutting Pad was not aggressive enough to remove some of the heavier defects. Thus, the DA Microfiber Xtra Cut pads were released, with no foam at all behind the microfiber.

While all products in the system may be purchased individually in various sizes, the DMCKIT5 and DMCKIT6 offer the best value for the products. Each of the following items are included in these kits:
